أكد وزير الأشغال العامة والطرق اليمني المهندس حسين العقربي، أن المواطن اليمني هو المستفيد الأول من الشراكة الصادقة والمثمرة مع السعودية، مشيراً إلى أن الأثر التنموي لمشاريع المملكة يتجسد بوضوح في الميدان لخدمة تطلعات أبناء الشعب اليمني وتخفيف معاناتهم.
جاء ذلك خلال زيارة ميدانية أجراها الوزير العقربي، برفقة محافظ تعز نبيل شمسان، لتفقد سير الأعمال الجارية في مشروع إعادة تأهيل وترميم طريق «هيجة العبد» الحيوي الرابط بين محافظتي تعز ولحج، الذي يجري تنفيذه بدعم سعودي سخي عبر ذراعها التنموية «البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن».
وأوضح العقربي أن هذا المشروع الإستراتيجي يمثل شريان حياة حيوياً لتعزيز التواصل بين المحافظات، وتسهيل حركة تنقل المواطنين وانسياب البضائع، ودعم النشاط الاقتصادي والتنموي في المنطقة.
وأعرب وزير الأشغال العامة والطرق عن بالغ تثمينه للدعم المتواصل الذي تقدمه قيادة وحكومة المملكة لليمن، مشيداً بالجهود الحثيثة للبرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن في تنفيذ ودعم المشاريع التنموية النوعية في مختلف القطاعات الحيوية، التي تشكل رافداً أساسياً لتعزيز البنية التحتية، وتحسين مستوى الخدمات العامة.
وجدد العقربي التأكيد على حرص الحكومة اليمنية ووزارة الأشغال العامة والطرق على مواصلة مسيرة التعاون والشراكة مع السعودية، بما يسهم بفعالية في دعم جهود التنمية وخدمة اليمن وشعبه.
The Yemeni Minister of Public Works and Roads, Engineer Hussein Al-Aqrobi, confirmed that the Yemeni citizen is the primary beneficiary of the sincere and fruitful partnership with Saudi Arabia, pointing out that the developmental impact of the Kingdom’s projects is clearly manifested in the field to serve the aspirations of the Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering.
This came during a field visit conducted by Minister Al-Aqrobi, accompanied by the Governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, to inspect the progress of the ongoing work on the vital “Heijjat Al-Abd” road rehabilitation and restoration project, which is being implemented with generous Saudi support through its developmental arm, the “Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen”.
Al-Aqrobi explained that this strategic project represents a vital lifeline to enhance communication between the provinces, facilitate the movement of citizens and the flow of goods, and support economic and developmental activity in the region.
The Minister of Public Works and Roads expressed his deep appreciation for the continuous support provided by the leadership and government of the Kingdom to Yemen, praising the diligent efforts of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in implementing and supporting quality developmental projects in various vital sectors, which form a fundamental pillar for enhancing infrastructure and improving the level of public services.
Al-Aqrobi reiterated the Yemeni government’s and the Ministry of Public Works and Roads’ commitment to continue the path of cooperation and partnership with Saudi Arabia, which effectively contributes to supporting development efforts and serving Yemen and its people.
