دعت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية مواطنيها الموجودين في الشرق الأوسط إلى توخي أقصى درجات الحذر ورفع مستوى اليقظة، متوقعة اليوم (السبت) إلغاء الرحلات الجوية، والإغلاق المؤقت للمجال الجوي، وحدوث اضطرابات في حركة السفر.
وأوضحت الوزارة اليوم (السبت) أن بعض شركات الطيران في المنطقة أرجأت استئناف جداول رحلاتها السابقة، فيما ألغت شركات أخرى عدداً من مساراتها، داعية المواطنين الأمريكيين إلى التفكير في مغادرة المنطقة أو الاستعداد للمغادرة في حال حدوث أي تصعيد.
وحثت الخارجية الأمريكية مواطنيها الموجودين خارج الشرق الأوسط على إعادة النظر بجدية في السفر إلى المنطقة أو المرور عبرها، مؤكدة أن من يقرر السفر ينبغي أن يتابع باستمرار مستجدات عمل المطارات وشركات الطيران.
وأشارت الخارجية الأمريكية إلى أن منشآت دبلوماسية أمريكية، بما في ذلك بعثات تقع خارج الشرق الأوسط، تعرضت للاستهداف، محذرة من أن إيران والجماعات الداعمة لها قد تستهدف مصالح أمريكية أخرى في الخارج أو مواقع مرتبطة بالولايات المتحدة حول العالم، بما في ذلك الشركات الأمريكية ومؤسسات أخرى.
تأتي هذه التطورات، في حين أمر الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بمواصلة الضربات العسكرية على إيران، مع ترجيحات ببدء جولة جديدة من الهجمات بحلول غد (الأحد)، بعدما خلص إلى أن المسار الدبلوماسي لم يحقق النتائج المرجوة، وفق ما أوردته صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال».
The U.S. State Department has urged its citizens in the Middle East to exercise the highest degree of caution and increase their vigilance, anticipating today (Saturday) the cancellation of flights, temporary closure of airspace, and disruptions to travel.
The department clarified today (Saturday) that some airlines in the region have postponed the resumption of their previous flight schedules, while others have canceled several of their routes, urging American citizens to consider leaving the region or preparing to depart in the event of any escalation.
The U.S. State Department encouraged its citizens outside the Middle East to seriously reconsider travel to the region or transiting through it, emphasizing that those who decide to travel should continuously monitor updates regarding airport operations and airlines.
The State Department noted that U.S. diplomatic facilities, including missions located outside the Middle East, have been targeted, warning that Iran and its supporting groups may target other U.S. interests abroad or sites linked to the United States around the world, including American companies and other institutions.
These developments come as President Donald Trump has ordered the continuation of military strikes on Iran, with expectations of a new round of attacks starting by tomorrow (Sunday), after concluding that the diplomatic path has not yielded the desired results, according to the Wall Street Journal.
